Insect repellent is commonly known as bug spray. It can be a substance applied or sprayed on the skin or other surfaces to discourage insects from coming near or landing on that surface. It can also come in the form of patches or stickers that emit certain scents to ward off insects. There are insect repellents that contain synthetic chemicals that insects avoid. There are also natural insect repellents such as lemongrass.
