Tiny “House” Design
- This design gives the feel of a dark and cramped space that cockroaches love. Cockroaches lurk in the dark because they are naturally nocturnal insects. They are considered a food source for other animals so they are accustomed to hiding.1 However, they do go out of hiding to look for food.
Bait Tablet
- Cockroaches are known to be omnivorous and can eat any organic food source. Although they’re known to live in sewers, garbage bins, and other dingy areas, many end up in homes when looking for food. They are attracted to starches, meats, and sweets.2 The smell of food is irresistible to cockroaches.3
Adhesive
- Cockroach Catcher uses polyisobutene or PIB for the adhesive surface within the trap. Polyisobutene is considered a synthetic rubber and an organic polymer used to increase a substance’s viscosity. It is useful in various industrial and commercial applications such as paper products, cosmetics, agricultural chemicals, sealants, chewing gum, and adhesives.4
- Polyisobutene is characterized to have a “high tack” for an adhesive. PIB is known to be nontoxic, odorless, tasteless, colorless to light yellow, and semisolid.5 These properties make this substance a safe and effective adhesive for trapping roaches and other pests in the home environment.
Storage and Disposal
- Keep away from children and pets. Store in its original, tightly closed pouch in a cool, dry area. Nonrefillable pouch; do not reuse or refill this pouch. Discard in trash. Do not allow the product to come in contact with food, feed, or food/feed contact surfaces.
