How do I use the Flea + Tick Concentrate on my pet’s play area?Updated 2 years ago
This would greatly depend on where your pets play. Usually, pets like to play in outdoor areas such as lawns, gardens, etc., or on carpets inside your home.
To use the Flea + Tick to kill off fleas and ticks on your lawn take note of the following:
- Make sure to mow your lawn first before spraying.
- After a day or two of mowing, spray the solution in a slow, even sweeping motion, and be sure to cover the entire lawn surface where your pet normally goes.
- Spray under trees and ornamentals but avoid soaking young or flowering plants. Repeat as necessary.
To use the Flea + Tick Concentrate to kill off fleas and ticks on your carpets take note of the following:
- Vacuum your carpet or rug thoroughly.
- Before using the concentrate, perform a colorfastness test first in an inconspicuous area and wait for it to dry. If any color changes occur, discontinue use.
- For rental or commercial deep cleaning machines, thoroughly rinse the machine before use. Use 5 oz. of concentrated solution per gallon of warm water, or follow the machine manufacturer’s instructions in washing.
- For home-owned uprights or deep cleaning canister machines, use 5 oz. per gallon of warm water or follow the machine manufacturer’s instructions.
- For handheld or cordless deep cleaning machines, follow the machine manufacturer’s instructions.
- Allow the cleaned area to dry and then vacuum thoroughly.
